It took just one visit to Sanibel for Teresa Baker, her husband Mark and their two boys, to know that they had found their new home. In 1986, Teresa and her family left their hometown in East Tennessee after discovering the perfect blend of the small-town charm they cherished and the relaxed island lifestyle they had always dreamed of and made Sanibel their forever home.

Teresa had already earned a merchandising degree from the University of Tennessee and in 2006 added her Florida Real Estate License to her extensive lists of credentials.  She is also a Sanibel Captiva Island Specialist and has achieved Graduate Realtor Designation as well as earning her Broker’s license in 2016.

Until it was sold in 2025, Teresa had spent the majority of her real estate career with VIP Realty Sanibel and Captiva, where she built a reputation for exceptional service and outstanding results. Teresa consistently ranked among the firm’s top-producing agents, earning membership in both the prestigious Chairman’s Club and the President’s Club. In 2022, she was honored as VIP Realty’s Associate of the Year in recognition of her professional excellence and dedication to her clients.
