AGENT PROFILE
Wendy grew up primarily in Southeast Asia and South America as her father was a diplomat with the United States Foreign Service. She and her family lived in Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala, Thailand, and Indonesia. She then attended Brigham Young University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree followed by a Master's degree from Arizona State University. After graduation, she worked for the sports marketing firm Advantage International. Upon starting a family she decided to build her own small business which she did for the next twenty years as a private academic tutor and study coach. She and her husband, Rick, moved to Florida in 2009 from the Washington, D.C. area and more recently to Southwest Florida when he assumed the position as Canterbury School's Head of School in Fort Myers. Wendy's transition to selling real estate was seamless as the Kirschners had bought and sold several homes in the mid-Atlantic region. The natural beauty of Southwest Florida made selling homes here easy. First with Keller Williams in Fort Myers, Wendy moved her license to the boutique firm Pfeifer Realty because of the local expertise of the broker and other agents. "I love the tropical feel of this area as it reminds me of my early years overseas. I truly believe this region provides a unique lifestyle for almost anyone." Wendy and Rick are the parents of three boys, Jake, Alek, and Cade, and are now adjusting to life as empty nesters. An avid tennis player, Wendy and her family love spending time outdoors and spending time together which is why living on Sanibel's East End is ideal for their interests. They bike, walk, run, paddleboard, and play lots of pickleball together as a family. They also are very involved with their church as well as the lacrosse community of both Fort Myers and Sanibel.
